Women in the Outdoors is the National Wild Turkey Federation!

Our CEO George Thornton said it best, when he recently spoke to a room of NWTF staffers, including the entire army of regional directors and biologists. "Our outreach programs are vital to the mission of the National Wild Turkey Federation."

I heard it myself, with my own ears. The top fella at the Federation values what our program stands for and what we bring to the NWTF table. If you didn't know it before, understand that each of you is part of a grand organization that offers many outlets for outdoors enthusiasts -- whether you're a woman, child, turkey hunter, wildlife watcher, have a disability or simply want to do good for the environment.

We are all part of the NWTF.

Amidst the flurry of speculation, rumors and general discussion, let me say I'm excited about where the Women in the Outdoors program is heading -- and where the NWTF is going in general. Change is always scary at first. But with change comes new opportunity. And THAT is exciting!

There's so much to look forward to. I hope you'll join us for the fun ride ahead!
